The Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya now starts at about $670 or 140,000 Hilton Honors points per night on example dates, while rates cited for Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya begin at $430 or 109,000 points. On January 10, 2027, the Waldorf is set to become adults-only; the Conrad will add an adults-only Ceiba Club. Hilton also plans Amare Cancun, with 429 rooms, to open October 31, 2026.
Other chains are adding properties through construction and conversions. Marriott reported 38 all-inclusive hotels across nine Caribbean and Latin American markets as of July, with more projects planned. Hyatt expects the 148-key Park Hyatt Riviera Maya and 301-key Grand Hyatt Los Cabos to open in the second half of 2026. Hilton prices awards dynamically against retail rates; Marriott's points treatment at its planned JW resort remains unclear.
For travelers, points nights may cover food and beverages as well as lodging, potentially improving value when cash rates are high. Bundled resort costs could also support higher award prices, making redemption comparisons and availability more important.
