This week, Rosewood Hotel Group announced its debut urban property in Japan, the Rosewood Tokyo. Set within the forthcoming Roppongi 5-Chome development, and directly linked to Roppongi Station, this hotel marks a significant expansion for the luxury brand, following its 2025 opening of Rosewood Miyakojima. Rosewood Tokyo will be developed in partnership with Mori Building and Sumitomo Realty & Development, as meetings-conventions-asia.com reports.

The new hotel will occupy a central position within a large-scale mixed-use precinct that will also include residences, retail, and office spaces. While Rosewood has not disclosed a specific opening date for the hotel, the broader Roppongi 5-Chome development is currently scheduled for completion by 2030, according to meetings-conventions-asia.com.

Upon completion, Rosewood Tokyo expects to feature approximately 200 guestrooms and suites, including three-bedroom accommodations. The property will also house a collection of dining and bar concepts, event venues including a grand ballroom, the brand's exclusive Manor Club, the Asaya wellness concept, an indoor pool, and comprehensive fitness and yoga facilities. This announcement aligns with Rosewood's ongoing global expansion, with upcoming properties slated for Seoul, Shenzhen, the Maldives, Napa Valley, and Rome.
