Announced May 8, 2026, Six Senses Residences Belize will introduce a taste of Maldives-style overwater living to the Western Hemisphere. Located on Emerald Caye, a private island off Ambergris Caye, the development will feature 16 two- and four-bedroom overwater branded residences and 40 overwater bungalow hotel suites.

Developed by CRDG LLC, these overwater villas and hotel accommodations will feature views of the Caribbean Sea, complemented by dining and spa services. The project, slated to open in 2028, highlights Belize's natural attractions, from its white-sand beaches and the Great Blue Hole to its rainforests and Mayan ruins.

According to John Turley, a Development Partner, "People are looking for year-round warm climate and convenience to a tropical escape with access to unique experiences and excursions." He notes that Belize's proximity to major North American cities makes it an "ideal paradise for many American buyers wanting an enriched lifestyle with amenities that most can only find in places like the Maldives or Bora Bora," as reported by Hotel Designs.

Studio CABAN, an Arizona-based architectural firm, designed the villas. Two floor plans are available: two-bedroom homes spanning 4,387 square feet and four-bedroom options at 7,891 square feet. Each villa features two floors, with amenities such as a full kitchen, living room, sun deck, and pool on the lower level, and bedrooms, bathrooms, wellness equipment, an office, and a balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea on the upper level.

Six Senses Residences Belize is part of a larger resort that includes the 40 overwater bungalow hotel suites, two restaurants, a full-service Six Senses Belize Spa & wellness center, an oceanfront yoga pavilion, a private beach club, a Kids Club, and "The Nest" elevated lookout lounge. The spa and wellness offerings will emphasize Mayan practices and local remedies for spiritual and physical well-being.
