This week, Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru announced a limited-time collaboration featuring Tokyo's Gold Bar. On August 21, 2026, Copitas, the hotel's award-winning bar, will host an exclusive one-night takeover, presenting cocktails from the acclaimed Gold Bar, an establishment known for its innovative approach at The Tokyo EDITION.
The event, facilitated in partnership with All Things Nice, aims to transport Gold Bar's distinctive ambiance and craft to Bengaluru. Expect reimagined classic cocktails—Martinis, Daiquiris, and Manhattans—infused with modern techniques and subtle Japanese influences, all without leaving India, as HospiBuz reports.
Guiding this experience is Andrei Marcu, Gold Bar's Outlet Manager. Marcu's career spans notable establishments globally, including establishing Atelier Coupette in Soho, recognized by The World's 50 Best Bars as a "One to Watch." He later led Bar Bota at Four Seasons Hotel Osaka before joining The Tokyo EDITION, contributing to its cocktail program, notes HospiBuz.
Biswajit Chakraborty, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. According to HospiBuz, Chakraborty stated, "Copitas has always been a place where guests can discover new flavours, new perspectives and memorable experiences. We are delighted to welcome Andrei Marcu for this special takeover. It is an opportunity to bring a different cocktail culture to Bengaluru and offer our guests a taste of one's of Tokyo's most respected bars."
Our take: Such cross-continental bar takeovers are becoming a hallmark of leading luxury hotels seeking to offer unique, ephemeral experiences. This particular collaboration between two Four Seasons-affiliated properties underscores the brand's commitment to culinary and mixology excellence, leveraging internal talent and celebrated concepts to create distinct guest moments. The choice of Gold Bar, with its focus on refined classics and Japanese precision, aligns perfectly with the evolving palate of India's luxury consumers.
