Fasel, a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of international experience in luxury hospitality, is set to lead the company into an exciting new era of growth and innovation. This appointment aligns with the company’s strategic vision to expand globally, enhancing both the **Capella** and **Patina Hotels & Resorts** brands.

**A Storied Career in Luxury Hospitality**

Roland Fasel’s extensive experience includes key leadership roles at some of the world’s most prestigious hotel brands. His most recent role was as Group Chief Operating Officer at Maybourne Hotel Group, where he was responsible for overseeing a portfolio that includes iconic properties like **Claridge’s**, **The Connaught**, **The Berkeley**, **The Maybourne Beverly Hills**, and **The Maybourne Riviera**. Under his leadership, Maybourne’s operations flourished, reinforcing its position in the luxury hospitality market.

Before his tenure at Maybourne, Fasel served as Chief Operating Officer at **Aman Resorts** from 2017 to 2023. During this time, he managed the global operations of the brand, contributing to its significant expansion. Notable openings under his leadership included **Amanyangyun** in China, **Aman Kyoto** in Japan, and the high-profile **Aman New York**. His vast experience in managing high-end properties has equipped him with a deep understanding of both the operational and strategic aspects of luxury hotel management.

Fasel’s journey began at **Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts**, where he honed his skills in various leadership positions across the United States. He also served as General Manager at **Badrutt’s Palace** in St. Moritz, leading a significant $80 million repositioning of the property that restored its profitability and market leadership. His other key roles included General Manager at **The Dorchester** in London and Regional Director at **Coworth Park** and **45 Park Lane**.

**Leading Capella Hotel Group’s Expansion**

In his new role as President, Roland Fasel will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence and brand integrity across both **Capella Hotels and Resorts** and **Patina Hotels and Resorts**.
