Announced May 28, 2026, the second season of Tina Fey's Netflix series, "The Four Seasons," sees its characters navigate middle-aged friendships and group travel across a range of destinations. From the Catskills to the Italian Alps, the show's production designer Sharon Lomofsky and set decorator Jennifer Greenberg curated the backdrops.

The first stop involves the characters scattering ashes in the Catskills, leading them to the fictional "Midnight Ramble" motel. Galerie Magazine reports that this mid-century establishment heavily featured the Blue Fox Motel in Narrowsburg, New York, for exterior shots. However, the interiors, as set decorator Jennifer Greenberg explained to Galerie Magazine, required significant vintage sourcing from Hudson Valley thrift stores and prop houses to achieve the desired aesthetic. This included notable pieces like the orange egg swing chair.

The motel's restaurant, intended to appear food-free, was transformed into a "listening bar" with records and headphones, a concept Greenberg tells Galerie Magazine was inspired by a members-only Tribeca establishment. Guest rooms, by contrast, were soundstage constructions adorned with vintage finds and bespoke murals.

For their summer retreat, the group heads to the Jersey Shore, frequenting Jenkinson’s Boardwalk and renting an Airbnb in Ocean Grove. While porch scenes were filmed on location, Lomofsky and Greenberg repurposed houses in Newburgh, New York, for interior shots, as Galerie Magazine notes. One home received a complete beach-inspired overhaul, while another, serving as a potential B&B, was redecorated to eliminate a "Midwest funeral home" vibe, as described by a character.
