Rosewood announced on February 26, 2026, the opening of Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, its first winter resort and second property in mainland France. Located in the prestigious Jardin Alpin enclave of Courchevel 1850, the resort offers direct ski-in, ski-out access to Les Trois Vallées, the world’s largest interconnected ski area.

Designed by French interior designer Tristan Auer, the property features 51 rooms, suites, and three signature houses. Hospitality Net notes the design embodies an "eclectic chalet" aesthetic, drawing inspiration from Courchevel's "golden era of alpine travel" when the region became a glamorous winter destination after the 1961 opening of its mountain airport.

The exterior utilizes Vals Quartzite from the Swiss mountains, complemented by warm wood and copper accents. The hand-carved entrance door, made from locally sourced wood, sets a precedent for the artistry found within. Each of the 51 accommodations, including rooms, suites, and penthouses, features a private seated terrace to connect guests with the mountain views.

Distinctive design elements abound, such as illuminated bars crafted from brushed Himalayan salt blocks, angled to echo mountain silhouettes. These provide a softened, diffused glow. Custom-designed Carapace wall lights, also made from Himalayan salt, reinforce a sense of purity and craftsmanship. The two-bedroom penthouses, accommodating up to four guests, feature headboards of hand-sculpted concrete mimicking natural rock. One penthouse, Saulire House, includes a floating art installation by Christian Pellizzari, made from hand-blown Murano crystal and copper-colored glass. Courchevel House reinterprets the traditional alpine fireplace with bush-hammered bluestone and patinated brass.
