[The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort, Cancún](https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/cuncm-the-st-regis-costa-mujeres-resort-cancun/overview/ "The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort, Cancún") has just opened in Costa Mujeres near the historic El Meco archaeological site.

The move is part of [Marriott International’s strategy](https://www.travelweekly.com/Mexico-Travel/Insights/Marriott-plans-to-significantly-expand-footprint-in-Mexico "Marriott International’s strategy") to expand its footprint in Mexico. This year alone it expects to open more than 10 properties in Mexico this year alone, including the Autograph Collection's Boca Alameda Mexico City; Casa Nizuc, a Tribute Portfolio Resort in Cancun; and Saltillo, Autograph Collection in Coahuila.

On tap are the St. Regis Los Cabos (2028), Ritz-Carlton, Riviera Maya (2028) and Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, Punta Nizuc (2029).

The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort has 163 guestrooms and suites. The one-bedroom Caroline Astor and the three-bedroom Presidential Suite have a residential vibe. All accommodations have access to the brand’s signature amenities, such as the St. Regis butler service, Afternoon Tea and Evening Champagne Sabrage, a ceremonial technique used to open a bottle of sparkling wine by sliding a saber or heavy knife along the bottle's neck to break the glass collar and pop the cork.

Experiences available to guests include traditional craft workshops, live music, and social gatherings at The St. Regis Bar and Jack’s Club.

The St. Regis Spa has 16 treatment suites, including two Signature Spa Suites with private Jacuzzis and private relaxation areas. The resort’s signature Sea Salt Spa Treatment is said to be inspired by the Maya civilization’s sacred connection to the mineral.

Other amenities include an oceanfront infinity pool and a fitness center with Caribbean Sea views. The Kid’s Club has dedicated recreational spaces; there’s also a Kid’s pool and a separate pool for adults.

Event spaces include the Astor Ballroom and a collection of indoor and outdoor venues for weddings, celebrations, corporate gatherings, and milestone occasions.
