Amanjena, the palatial Aman redoubt nestled among century-old olive groves along the Route de Ouarzazate outside Marrakech, will stage an intimate three-day wellness residency, 'Stillness and Strength', from 18 to 20 December 2026. The December retreat is designed around Novak Djokovic, serving in his official capacity as the group's global wellness advisor and ambassador.

According to Maxime Fontaine of La Revue des Hôtels, the record-holding champion will not merely lend his imprimatur from afar, but will physically host the retreat on the property. Fontaine reports that Amanjena is positioning the three-day gathering as the most exclusive touchpoint of its winter calendar, centering the experience on bespoke physical mastery and contemplative stillness.

The daily syllabus integrates Djokovic's disciplined regimen directly into the estate's sporting footprint. As Maxime Fontaine reports, sessions will encompass technical tennis clinics held on the resort's two clay courts, accompanied by guided breathwork and meditation classes devised to sharpen mental resilience alongside athletic technique.

Restorative treatments are woven throughout the itinerary to offset the on-court intensity. Maxime Fontaine adds that the retreat includes a 60-minute traditional Moroccan beldi hammam and a 60-minute therapeutic massage utilizing regional argan oil, with participants granted full run of the property's four-suite spa and its 33-metre heated pool.

Accommodation is drawn from Amanjena's collection of standalone pavilions and walled villas, designed in pink pisé plaster by the late architect Ed Tuttle around an expansive central reflecting basin. Reporting for La Revue des Hôtels, Fontaine notes that reservations are strictly limited upon direct request, with rates remaining deliberately unlisted.

Our take: The intersection of elite sports performance and contemplative hospitality has matured well past generic fitness workshops. By placing a living legend directly onto the clay and into morning breathwork circles, Aman is moving past passive celebrity branding toward experiential pedigree. At a property as architecturally introspective as Amanjena, the contrast between rigorous athletic discipline and serene Moorish cloisters feels particularly well-calibrated.
