The **British Pullman**, a **Belmond Train**, is preparing to launch a spectacular new private dining and events carriage called _Celia_. This new addition to the luxurious Belmond experience is designed by renowned filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and Oscar-winning costume and production designer Catherine Martin. Set to launch in May 2026, _Celia_ introduces a cinematic approach to luxury rail travel, offering guests a fully bespoke dining and entertainment experience onboard one of Britain’s most iconic trains.

The design of _Celia_ is a visual extravaganza that combines the essence of Shakespeare’s _A Midsummer Night’s Dream_ with the bold and theatrical aesthetics that Luhrmann is known for. Each section of the carriage unfolds like a scene in a play, drawing passengers into an immersive experience. Dramatic velvet curtains mark the entrance, leading into a luxurious lounge bar, a snug seating area, and a dining room, all decorated with striking colours and floral motifs. Marquetry woodwork and carefully curated lighting add to the theatrical atmosphere, creating an environment that feels both modern and timeless.

The interior design reflects references to the English countryside, vintage railway travel, and Shakespearean symbolism. Pansy flower motifs, inspired by the character Titania, Queen of the Fairies, are incorporated throughout the carriage, adding an enchanting touch that transports guests to a magical world.

The craftsmanship behind _Celia_ highlights the finest British artisanship. Catherine Martin worked closely with several long-term Belmond partners and other distinguished British artisans to bring her vision to life. Furniture designer Bill Cleyndert and marquetry specialists Dunn & Son are among the key collaborators, while bespoke glasswork was provided by Tony Sandles Bespoke Glass, and Hand & Lock contributed their intricate embroidery.

To further elevate the luxury experience, _Celia_ features fine bone china crafted by Duchess China and exquisite glassware and cutlery from Waterford Crystal and David Mellor. Guests will also be immersed in an exclusive scent created by Luhrmann and Martin, adding another layer of sensory indulgence to this cinematic journey.

_Celia_ is designed to accommodate up to 12 guests, providing an intimate and private setting for luxurious dining and entertainment. The carriage includes a private dining room, a bar lounge, an entertainment area, and even an onboard kitchen. Every journey aboard _Celia_ is fully customised, with a dedicated guest experience curator who arranges everything from menus to drinks and off-train experiences.

Guests will be treated to a range of exclusive dining options, including a bespoke three-course menu with traditional British dishes such as beef Wellington and chicken liver parfait, alongside modern interpretations tailored to the occasion. The menu will change depending on the season and the theme of the journey, ensuring that every experience is unique.

In collaboration with Monica Berg, co-founder of Tayer + Elementary, Belmond has curated an exclusive cocktail programme available only on _Celia_. Guests will also have the option to stock their own onboard bar, creating a fully personalised drink selection.

_Celia_ offers more than just exceptional dining. During the journey, the carriage transforms from a lounge into a theatrical dining and entertainment venue. Live performances, DJ sets, and dance floor options will bring the train to life, making every journey an event in itself. The entertainment is designed to complement the luxurious surroundings, creating a memorable and engaging experience for guests.

In addition to onboard entertainment, guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive off-train experiences. Depending on the itinerary, passengers may receive curated access to private tours of stately homes, museums, boutiques, and other unique UK destinations. These bespoke experiences allow guests to immerse themselves in the culture and heritage of the regions they travel through.

Exclusive use of the _Celia_ carriage aboard the British Pullman starts at £15,000, including luxury transfers within Greater London. This price includes the private carriage, bespoke dining and entertainment, and access to off-train experiences. Given the highly personalised nature of the service and the exclusivity of the carriage, _Celia_ promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for those seeking the ultimate in luxury rail travel.
