Announced June 11, 2026, the CORI Hornbæk Hotel is set to open its doors this September, bringing a design-forward luxury experience to Denmark's north coast, approximately an hour from Copenhagen. Positioned as a year-round destination, the property aims to draw sophisticated travelers to a region traditionally favored by local creatives.
The seaside town of Hornbæk, known for its pristine beaches and tranquil atmosphere, provides a compelling backdrop. Hornbæk Beach, frequently cited as one of Denmark's most beautiful coastlines, boasts soft white sands and calm waters, and its unique light has historically attracted artists and designers. CORI Hotel now occupies a prime beachfront location.
The hotel, designed by Afroditi Krassa (known for her work with Rosewood Hotels and Harrods London) and part of The Leading Hotels of the World, offers 77 rooms and suites, alongside five townhouse apartments. A standout is the one-bedroom Sky Suite, featuring a private terrace and curved, floor-to-ceiling windows that provide dual sunrise and sunset views over the dunes.
Embracing its heritage as a 1935 _badehotel_ (seaside hotel), CORI's wellness program emphasizes the "restorative power of the sea" and a distinctly Scandinavian approach. The spa, opening later this year, centers on a greenhouse-inspired indoor pool. Guests can expect hot-cold therapy with invigorating sea plunges, a fire-lit sanctuary, and an outdoor sauna. The resort also plans advanced longevity treatments, including market-leading biohacking tools like compression boots, LED face masks, and Smart Eye Goggles, in addition to a health club with space for yoga, pilates, and sound therapy.
Culinary offerings at Cori Table, led by Chef Brian Mark (formerly of the Michelin-starred Søllerød Kro), promise a modern Nordic coastal experience with Mediterranean influences.
