On November 20, 2025, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts officially opens its newest Caribbean property, the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico. Located within the exclusive Bahía Beach community on Puerto Rico’s northeastern coast, this launch marks a significant addition to the island’s luxury tourism landscape. The 483-acre oceanfront sanctuary, previously the St. Regis Bahia Beach, now aims to lead in eco-conscious luxury hospitality, combining world-class amenities with extensive environmental conservation efforts.

The resort is strategically positioned between Río Grande and Luquillo, about thirty minutes east of San Juan. This expansive site, once a coconut plantation, has been transformed into a protected nature reserve, dedicating over 60 percent of its land to conservation. This includes forests, wetlands, freshwater lakes, and a two-mile beach stretch. The property boasts Certified Silver Audubon International Signature Sanctuary status, an exclusive recognition within the Caribbean.

The resort offers 136 accommodations across various categories, from Garden-View Rooms with private terraces to multi-bedroom Oceanfront Residences with private pools. Villa Santuario provides a four-bedroom option with full kitchens and panoramic views. Design elements consistently emphasize natural materials and open layouts, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Dining options span several restaurants and venues, focusing on Puerto Rican and international flavors. An oceanfront, all-day restaurant serves coastal cuisine with Mediterranean influences, complemented by poolside and bar venues offering lighter fare and tropical cocktails.

Amenities include the Bahía Beach Golf Course, an 18-hole championship layout designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., which features tropical forest and ocean vistas. The Four Seasons Spa incorporates local botanicals like coconut and coffee into its treatments. Wellness programming covers outdoor yoga, movement classes, and personalized health initiatives.

Our take: Four Seasons' entry into Bahía Beach signals a maturing luxury market in Puerto Rico. The emphasis on Audubon certification is a smart move, tapping into a growing segment of affluent travelers who prioritize environmental stewardship. This isn't just another beach resort; it's a statement about responsible luxury, setting a new benchmark for the region.
