Six months after its opening, **Six Senses London** enters the awards list. The brand’s first British address, located in the former Whiteleys department store in Bayswater, obtains **its first Michelin Key** in the 2026 selection. It is one of the **51 hotels in IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio** recognised this year, ten of which received two Keys and 41 with one.

Whiteleys, often presented as London’s first department store, occupied a Grade II listed building in Queensway, closed since 2018. **The rehabilitation preserved the façade, the dome, the central courtyard, and the grand staircase inspired by Milan’s La Scala.** The interior design is by AvroKO with EPR Architects.

The hotel opened on **1st March 2026** with 109 rooms and suites, 14 Six Senses residences, and **Six Senses Place London, the brand’s first private club**.
