A two-day wellness retreat took place in July at the JA Hatta Fort Hotel in the mountain enclave of Hatta in the United Arab Emirates. As [The National reports](https://www.thenationalnews.com/lifestyle/wellbeing/2026/09/21/two-day-retreat-ja-hatta-hotel-review-spiritual-reset/), the programme included hatha yoga, work with metaphorical cards and a group family constellations exercise.

The retreat was held at the 79-room hotel, situated on a 32-hectare site amid mountains and green lawns. The complex has separate mountain-style cottages and two swimming pools available to retreat participants. Deer, turtles, peacocks and rabbits also live on the grounds.

On the first evening, after a brief introduction, facilitator Tanya led an hour-long hatha yoga session. After dinner at the Jeema restaurant, a session with metaphorical cards was held — images, symbols or words used in coaching and therapeutic practices. Participants were invited to write down their observations and reflect on their own interpretations of the cards.

The following day featured a final family constellations session in the format of an interactive group exercise involving role-based interaction among participants. The method was developed by German psychotherapist and former Catholic priest Bert Hellinger.

During the July stay, the price was 800 UAE dirhams per person for double occupancy or 950 dirhams for single occupancy. The price included one night at the hotel, breakfast and dinner at Jeema Restaurant, drinks and all sessions with the facilitator. Participants had to bring their own yoga mats.

According to the publication, the two-day retreat is held several times a year, but the next dates had not yet been set at the time the review was published. The hotel allows guests to stay with pets. The National noted that the review was conducted at the invitation of the hotel.
