As of the 2026 Michelin Guide selection, fewer than 150 hotels worldwide hold the maximum Three Keys. The list is reviewed annually and a property losing a Key (or gaining one) is news enough to make front pages in the hospitality trade.
What does Three Michelin Keys mean?

When does the Michelin Guide announce the Key list?
The Michelin Guide releases its annual hotel Keys selection in rolling country-by-country announcements between February and November, with the master list refreshed each spring. New inductions and withdrawals are published on the Guide's site as they're confirmed.
