Langham Hospitality Group announced on April 15, 2026, its entry into Shandong Province with The Langham Jinan. Slated for a 2029 opening, the hotel will feature 286 guest rooms and suites, occupying approximately 35,000 square meters. The development, a collaboration with Jinan Licheng District Quanfuhe Investment Development Co. Ltd., aims to capitalize on Jinan's growing tourism.

The new property will blend Langham's established luxury aesthetic with cultural nods to Jinan, particularly its famous springs. The design intends to create a tranquil, elegant environment, integrating local elements while upholding Langham's global standards.

Amenities will include several dining options, notably an outpost of T'ang Court, Langham’s three-Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant. A destination bar will also offer a sophisticated social setting. For events, the hotel will provide extensive meeting facilities. Wellness offerings will feature Chuan Spa, known for its holistic approach to health and relaxation.

This Jinan expansion marks a significant step in Langham Hospitality Group's growth strategy across China and the Asia-Pacific region, responding to increasing demand for high-end hospitality. The company continues its global expansion, focusing on personalized service and luxury experiences in key markets.

What this means: Langham's move into Jinan positions the city as a burgeoning luxury destination. The hotel's comprehensive offerings, from its Michelin-starred restaurant to its Chuan Spa, are poised to attract both business and leisure travelers, enhancing Jinan's profile in the competitive international luxury circuit.
