Announced April 27, 2026, Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) added 29 new member hotels in the first quarter of 2026. This expansion brings the portfolio to over 700 properties across 100 countries, according to Hospitality Net — Latest News, building on strong growth from the previous year.

The new additions encompass a mix of recently opened and upcoming properties, each emphasizing individuality and innovative design. The Grace Hotel in County Mayo, Ireland, set to open this spring, promises expansive views of the Westport Estate, with architecture and interiors reflecting the Irish West Coast. Also opening this spring, Italy's Casa Caprile in Anacapri, is a restored 19th-century residence featuring 12 rooms and suites with bold colors and bespoke furnishings. Venice will see the debut of Eight Venezia in July 2026, following a thorough refurbishment that preserves original architectural details alongside refreshed interiors.

The third quarter will introduce Casa Simona in Panama’s El Valle de Antón, offering a blend of local design and nature within an extinct volcano crater. In California, Hotel MOHI by Appellation, a sister property to Appellation Healdsburg, will open in Morgan Hill. In Assam, India, the newly opened Rhino and River Wildlife Retreat & Spa features 16 log-hut rooms and a Nirban Spa focusing on indigenous Khasi healing traditions. Meanwhile, Reims, France, now hosts Le N°3 by Champagne Thiénot, the famed Champagne house's first boutique hotel, which opened in late 2025.

Key West, Florida, is a new destination for the SLH portfolio, with the addition of four properties from Key West Historic Inns. Ella's Cottages offers a bohemian retreat for extended stays, while Ridley House provides an iconic setting within three historic homes. The Lighthouse Hotel maintains its historical ethos as an LGBTQ-friendly guesthouse, and Winslow's Bungalows combines Victorian architecture with modern styling in self-contained units.

California also sees new SLH presence in Santa Monica and Palm Springs. Maison Twenty Seven in Santa Monica, established in 1927, features Moorish-influenced Mediterranean architecture and lush gardens. Palm Springs welcomes La Serena Villas, an adult-only collection of 18 Spanish-style villas. Further afield, Santorini Sky in Greece provides nine luxury villas and the Sky Dome, a private pod at the island's highest point, all featuring Greek marble and Aegean Sea views.
