DEER VALLEY, Utah (KUTV) — The state-created entity, formed to save Hill Air Force Base, and under fire for voting to move the controversial Box Elder data center project forward, is defending its involvement in a luxury hotel at Deer Valley.

Dan Hemmert, new executive director of Utah’s Military Installation Development Authority, otherwise known as MIDA, said the group considers part of the hotel “a military installation.”
